How Do I Get One?

Two ways:

1. MP Sharp Technologies can build and ship a unit to your office or home.  Each unit is built to order. See the ordering information and disclaimer below.

2. You (or someone you know) can build one for you.   All the specifications and software are open-source. See the Technical Index for hardware and software information.  We are happy to provide email assistance on getting it up and running.

Ordering Information

Please take a look at the Hardware Breakdown page to understand your options. This shows the base cost for the Plus (CD R/W) and Standard systems.  Additional options can be added after you make your initial order.

Due to the large amount of interest, I've had to bring on some help to build the machines and thus I need to cover labor costs.  A machine takes approximately four hours to build from scratch (including software configuration).  Trust me when I tell you this isn't making me rich.  Please read the disclaimer below before making a purchase.
MPST Digital Jukebox Standard
Parts - 475.00
Labor - 50.00
----------------
Total - 525.00
MPST Digital Jukebox Plus
Parts - 750.00
Labor- 50.00
----------------
Total - 800.00
Use the appropriate PayPal link to get your order placed.   Once the order is received you will be contacted about any options you would like to add on to the system.  You will also received detailed status reports as your Jukebox is built.  Shipping costs will be highly dependant upon destination and options and will determined at the time of shipping.   Since systems are built to order, orders may take up to 4-6 weeks, but this is a worst case scenario and most orders should arrive considerably faster.

Currently I am not shipping systems outside of North America.
Disclaimer

THIS IS NOT A COMMERCIAL QUALITY PRODUCT as you might expect when buying something similar at your local stereo-component store.  It truly is just a PC dressed up to fit and operate in a stereo component rack. Developing this device is not my fulltime job, nor do I expected it to be anytime soon.   The consumer device market is a high volume, low margin business which I have very little interest in competing in.   If you're looking for something of that quality, please see the Commercial Products page.

That said, MPST customers will receive the best customer service and support I can offer.  If only 10% of the people who have expressed interesting in owning a Digital Jukebox purchase one, that will be more than enough to support future development efforts and feature improvements.   Software updates will always be free to download, assuming they are not encumbered by restrictive licensing terms.    This is an open-source/open-technology project that anyone can contribute to or use as they wish.
